As we celebrate the first official US Federal holiday of JUNETEENTH, Mississippi’s Capitol City will lead the nation in the essence of Juneteenth Celebration Expression.
Having spent the last two years in the most “domestic foreign” place anyone in the world has seen, we must honor the MAKING FREE and SETTING FREE of the local diaspora of Africans into Americans. Cultural experiences with Food, Apparel, Art, and Creative Economic Empowerment located on The New Horizon Hill, during this engaging family, neighbors, friends, and worshipers’ celebration weekend. Yes, there will be a Kid Zone called the “Offspring Ring”.
A weekend like NO OTHER because there has never been a FEDERAL HOLIDAY like this for all the people in American History. We are MAKING HISTORY, and we want you for the part of Juneteenth Jackson Expo history in 2022.

Sankofa
Sankofa is an African word from the Akan tribe in Ghana. The literal translation of the word and the symbol is “it is not taboo to fetch what is at risk of being left behind.”
